How you can help get our Health Freedom
We want our health freedom. The useless FDA

By Timo

We have all heard about drug cartels: the Cali Cartel, the Tijuana Cartel, the Sinaloa Cartel, the Medellín Cartel, the list is endless. So, how come we never hear about the richest, most powerful and best organized of them all?

As I see it, that would be the USA Drug Cartel. Briefly, in non-technical, non-legal language, here is how it works:

  • Americans are not supposed to use drugs/medications that are not FDA approved;
  • the FDA, a completely outdated agency, approves drugs that have cost millions of lives through the years, while simultaneously discouraging new approaches to disease prevention and treatment;
  • by forbidding the use of unapproved drugs, the FDA does one of the few things it does very well: protect the obscene profits of big pharma – as a result, Americans pay the highest drug prices in the world;
  • the pharmaceutical companies enjoy royal treatment from the lawmakers in Congress. The lawmakers are not really motivated to pass any new laws that may be unfavorable to the pharmaceutical industry; they like the bribes (to keep it legal, those are called "campaign contributions") and the pharmas are the #1 or #2 contributors.

So, that's how the Big Pharma cartel is pretty much in control of everything.

We, the consumers would be stupid to think we can look at the government for protection; the FDA protects Big Pharma, not us. The only thing left to do is to let those who run the government know what we want. We can each contribute our own little grain of sand to the pile and, hopefully, it the pile gets big enough, those representing us will be embarrassed into listening and taking some action.

Fortunately, we may have a little break now: the FDA itself has recently admitted that it "cannot even keep up with the advances in science" in a special report prepared at its own request. Here are some exact quotes from that report:

  • The FDA cannot fulfill its mission because its scientific base has eroded and its scientific organizational structure is weak.
  • The FDA cannot fulfill its mission because its scientific workforce does not have sufficient capacity and capability.
  • The FDA cannot fulfill its mission because its information technology (IT) infrastructure is inadequate.
  • FDA does not have the capacity to ensure the safety of food for the nation.
  • The development of medical products based on “new science” cannot be adequately regulated by the FDA.
  • There is insufficient capacity in modeling risk assessment and analysis.
  • The FDA science agenda lacks a coherent structure and vision, as well as effective coordination and prioritization.
  • The FDA has substantial recruitment and retention challenges.
  • The FDA has an inadequate and ineffective program for scientist performance.
  • The FDA has not taken sufficient advantage of external and internal collaborations.
  • The FDA lacks the information science capability and information infrastructure to fulfill is regulatory mandate.
  • The FDA cannot provide the information infrastructure support to regulate products based on new science.

In other words, the FDA is completely useless.

But don't just take my word for it. You can see the whole report yourself by clicking HERE. If you wish to look at this report and have problems accessing it, just send me a message through the 'Contact us' page, and I will email you a copy.

We have the right to choose what to put into our body. Join the people who are sending a letter to Congress and to both presidential candidates, asking then to change the law so we can have the health freedom that we are entitled to. The letter is already written; all you have to do is fill out an easy form and click a button to have the letter sent with your signature. I have already sent mine.
If the law gets changed as proposed, you would not lose the option to continue getting your "protection" from the FDA (LOL). But you would be allowed to choose alternative medicines/therapies clearly labeled "Not Approved by the FDA". I, for one, would view such a seal as a positive thing.

At this point, I have a tough time seeing the advantage in anything labeled "FDA Approved". I don't see any humor in it either.
