REVIEW BY TIMO
NaturalNews.com, my favorite and most trusted web site for health/environment-related information, has a list of organizations that the Health Ranger recommends. In that list, under recommended nutritional supplement manufacturers, the Life Extension Foundation (LEF) is listed in first place.
After I had open heart surgery in 2002, I became a lot more aware of healthy food and living in general. Within a year of the surgery, I canned all the prescription medications I was put on by doctors and replaced them with natural substances: no more statins, nitrates, blood pressure meds or any "FDA approved" garbage – for me, now it's grass-fed meat, good fats (yes, animal fats!), wild fish, organic foods and supplements. Three-four months ago, I started getting all my supplements online from LEF: so far. I'm happy as a lark.
The web site
The product selection is outstanding and things are easy to find; it offers efficient, fast search, and the cost is no higher that when I was buying from brick-and-mortar retailers. They advertise regular delivery in 1 to 5 days, faster if you pay extra. So far, I have placed two orders for the four LEF products I use regularly: in both cases, the products have been in my hands in 4 days (they ship from NY and I live in CA).
But the site also offers tons of information, probably more than you want or could possibly read – there are health articles, news items, their magazine and 100% complete product descriptions. You could go to this site and never buy anything, and still get an excellent education about health and longevity.
They want you to be happy with your purchase: NO RISK - THEY GIVE YOU UP TO 12 MONTHS TO RETURN A PRODUCT FOR FULL CREDIT TO YOUR ACCOUNT (with the exception of 2 products).
My personal experience with these products
If you google "Life Extension Foundation", you are presented with over 1,200,000 results – of course, even though I am very diligent, I have not read all of them, but, so far, I have seen nothing I would consider negative – if you do, please report it to me from this site's Contact page.
I won't know for sure if I picked the best products until I am in Heaven (of course, that's where I am going after I check out for good) but neither do the doctors or the bureaucrats who like to play God. In the meantime, I am very confident that I have made the right choice. I already feel a difference with one of the products – a multivitamin that goes through my body much more cleanly than any other multivitamin I have ever taken.
What I say in the above paragraph certainly does not qualify as scientific research, it's just my personal opinion. If you want to see something a little more formal, here are two items:
Excerpt:
The Life Extension Foundation has been the FDA's severest critic for the past ten years. The Foundation has documented perjury and violations of the U.S. Constitution by FDA officials, and has shown how FDA incompetence and corruption has caused the needless suffering and premature death of millions of Americans!

The Life Extension Foundation has an arm that sells pharmaceutical-grade supplements of unmatched quality. Patients testify they really do feel the difference.

Update: October 27, 2008
I love LEF. I recently became a member, which entitles me to several benefits; the one I like best is that I get to buy the products at a 25% or bigger discount. Before you buy any of their guaranteed products, you can read how it is made and why. Also included is their monthly magazine (5 bucks at the newsstand), which I read practically cover-to-cover because it has fantastic articles.
Like the idea of using excellent quality supplements/vitamins? Press on this line to buy – or at least browse – these products now.
