In May 2004, Monsanto announced it was giving up its efforts to introduce Roundup Ready wheat in North America (if it were up to Monsanto, EVERYTHING grown on this planet would be Roundup Ready). This did not happen because of any action taken by the FDA, the USDA or any other government body. It happened because the farmers who grew GMOs started to realize that transgenic crops were an economic failure.
We in North America are lucky: we have fared much better than other places like India and some South American countries. WATCH THIS VIDEO. It is in Spanish but it comes with instructions to turn on English subtitles. Length is just under 15 minutes.
The video shows what just one of Monsanto's poisons has done, and is still doing, to many, many people in Argentina. If you find it horrific, it's because it IS.
